- Vocational/Technical/Certificate from the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges
What if I don’t want a degree, can I get a certificate?
Yes, if you meet program requirements, you can apply for a certificate program from an institution that meets the requirements above.
How do I know if my school has the right accreditation?
Search for your school/institution on these sites:
Can I get my G.E.D. through Education & Training?
No. However Southwestern Community College offers classes at the Ginger Lynn Welch Complex for free! These are scheduled and coordinated by the school and not by the program.
Can I go to a trade school?
Yes, you must meet program requirements and the school/institution must meet accreditations listed above.
Can I go to a Nationally Accredited school and if not, what is the difference?
- Choosing the right school to meet your needs is up to the student; however, the program will not fund schools that are Nationally Accredited.
- Why don’t we fund Nationally Accredited Schools?
Credit hours from regionally accredited schools are more widely transferrable to other institutions. Regionally accredited schools are more academically oriented, non-profit, or state-owned institutions.
Do I get any benefits for completing my G.E.D.?
